So it turns out that all that "we still like Jeremy Shockey" talk from the Giants was in fact bullshit. Jay Glazer reports that the Giants are trucking the tight end for a 2nd and 5th rounder in next years draft.With Shockey sidelined, the Giants flourished, not necessarily because he was absent, but hey, something was clicking. That something was the arrival of Kevin "Boss" Boss. He was an adequate replacement and the offense didn't have to center around him.
Bottom line he's cheaper, he's less maitainence, and right now he's more durable. He's like a silver Toyota Camry and Shockey's more of a bright red Ford Excursion.
